LockLeed International is a veteran-owned military staffing and executive-search firm in Minneapolis, founded in 2015. We hand-coded the site with separate employer and candidate paths, plus tools aimed at transitioning servicemembers: an MOS skills translator, a resume builder, and an Ask LockLeed assistant.
The brief
LockLeed serves two audiences whose needs barely overlap. Employers arrive wanting a search started and a shortlist, not a stack of resumes. Veterans and transitioning servicemembers arrive looking for open roles, and often need help turning a military record into civilian job language first. One homepage had to hold both without either group reading past the other.
What we built
We split the navigation into an Employers track and a Candidates track, each with its own overview, resources, and calls to action, with Hire Talent in the top nav and a paired Hire Talent / Find a Job action bar. The homepage carries the employer story: placement services, a four-step engagement model, ten industries served, and an FAQ. Candidate tools get their own home - MOS Translator, Resume Builder, MOS Career Guides, and a Base Map.
- Two navigation tracks — Employers gets Overview, Executive Search, Our Process, Industries, Locations and Why Hire Veterans; Candidates gets Browse Open Roles, Career Resources and Veteran Resources.
- MOS Translator — a military-occupation skills translator, linked from the candidate menu in both the header and the footer, next to MOS Career Guides.
- Resume Builder — a candidate-side tool grouped with Veteran Resources, paired with a Submit Your Resume path for people who already have one.
- Ask LockLeed assistant — a built-in assistant labeled Military Placement and Search, carrying a privacy note and a Talk to a human option.
- Four-step engagement model — Requirements Brief, Source and Screen, LockLeed Interview and Client Presentation, each written out as its own numbered step.
- Proof and contact rail — HIRE Vets Medallion 2023 Platinum, Google reviews, LinkedIn and Yelp, plus phone, email and the Minneapolis address in the footer.
